Dreame’s 8K Action Camera Ends DJI and Insta360 Era

Chinese tech innovator Dreame, best known for its robotic cleaning solutions, has entered the action camera market with the Leaptic Cube. Announced at CES 2026, the compact device challenges industry giants like DJI and Insta360 with its 8K resolution, a first in its class. While competitors cap out at 4K, Dreame’s offering leverages a 1/1.3-inch sensor and a 155-degree wide-angle lens to capture high-quality footage even in low-light conditions.

The Leaptic Cube records at 8K resolution (30fps), offering 4x the detail of 4K. For smoother motion, users can switch to 4K at 60fps (HDR) or 120fps for slow-motion content. Battery life extends to 220 minutes with the optional magnetic external battery dock, and the camera supports 98-foot wireless transmission for real-time monitoring.

Dreame’s camera integrates AI-driven features like voice-controlled framing and object tracking, powered by a proprietary mobile app. Notably, the device’s dual-facing 2.27-inch screen allows flexible positioning for selfies or vlogs. During CES, the company also unveiled a $700 multifunctional floor lamp that doubles as a hair dryer (cerca de R$ 3.766,60), though the Leaptic Cube’s pricing remains unannounced.
